President Bush signed a new bill on Thursday that will relieve students of some of the financial strains of going to college. The College Cost Reduction Act will increase Pell Grants and lower interest rates on student loans.

Consolidate student loans if you benefit (Daily Record)
If you don't consolidate your student loans by Oct. 1, you may pay higher interest rates and fees for your loans, and your hair will fall out. OK, we made up the part about the hair. But the language in some marketing campaigns by student lenders and consolidators is pretty alarming.
